Have heard of the bolts in those starters coming lose. Not sure what effect that would have on it's performance.

You were asking about the 5 speed conversion.

Here is a video of a guy doing an overhaul of a W58 and conversion for use in a TR.

Video from a TR3 in the Kastner Cup.

Sounds like it has some work done to the engine. My TR3 does not sound like that.

I had the opposite problem. Fitting the snubbers on the front suspension with no body or engine for weight to compress against. Do not remember exactly how I did it but it was a battle.

TR2/3/3A Re: Wing nuts for gauge panel on TR 3

10-32 is 32 TPI 0.190 dia and 2BA is 31.36 TPI 0.185 dia so there is almost no difference between them. It may be harder to get a 2BA to nut to go on a 10-32 bolt than a 10-32 nut on a 2 BA bolt.

TR2/3/3A Re: Tr3 frame work finally

The spring in my new ones were way too strong. Almost impossible to open the door. I popped it apart and shortened the spring a bit then crimped it back together.
