    TR2/3/3A Re: Windshield difficulties

There is such a thing as an "Easy-Out" which is not that easy but usually gets it out.

    TR2/3/3A Re: back seat bracket

What did you end up using for the wheel arches. Foam rubber, cotton, nothing. They look better than mine with cotton backing.
  3. TR2/3/3A Re: Rear fender stays: black or body color?

Mine are dirt colored but they used to be red.

    TR2/3/3A Re: Another Differential Question

TR2/3/3A Re: Dang! Clutch slipping in 5th

You say 5th gear. Are you running an electric overdrive. Could a sudden downshift be an electrical problem. After all, it is a Triumph!

    TR2/3/3A Re: Car show

I would have won best in class, if they had a class for cars less than 13 feet long with less than 500 hp. ;-). The closest thing to my car was a couple VW beetles and a 53 Jag with a blown V8 and...

    TR2/3/3A Re: Car show

Those are real Lucas mirrors from England. Got the convex and really like them, at least the left one. The right one is hidden behind the dash mirror so it gets less use.

    TR2/3/3A Car show

60675Showed my car at a big car show in Livermore. It was almost all American muscle cars, so at first I felt out of place.
In the morning no-one paid any attention to my car. They were all the...

    TR2/3/3A Re: Pdwa

When I bleed the brakes really well, they were firm for about a week. Then after a long drive they got soft again in the morning. You might be right about the bearings.

Thanks, I'll leave it alone and pump the brakes up in the morning. Good job for a rainy day.

    TR2/3/3A Pdwa

People keep referring to the PDWA, but as far as I know the TR3A just has a Residual pressure valve.
That said is the valve easy to remove in place, without unhooking all the hydraulic lines?
    Will...

    TR2/3/3A Re: back seat bracket

I've had two TR3A's and neither had a bracket there. That's not to say that there wasn't one, but the seat back stays in place without it.

My Dad bought a 65 Spitfire when I was 7 year old. Eight years later I bought a TR3 but my favorite car was a 1971 GT6+ I drove in...

    TR2/3/3A Re: Reproduction TR3A Grille

60568Back to the grill. I used a vise grip like this to squeeze the cross bars. Set it right and it won't over squeeze. Worked good and fast.

Re: Reversing w/. OD engaged - symptoms?

I used to drive my GT6+ from Northern Cal. to San Luis Obispo and invariable some one in a 240z or similar would pull up along side and want to race.
I would quietly drop down into third gear, then...

    TR2/3/3A Re: Rag top.

Looks like a great start on the interior.
I was not happy with my wheel well covers becase I did not pad them enough. You can see the edge of the seam through the vinyl. I recommend 1/8" foam...

    TR2/3/3A Re: Rag top.

When I bought this car, the seats, carpets, door panels, vinyl, etc. all came in boxes. Now I just have the side curtains to do.
I was lucky that the DPO had good taste.

    I'm pretty happy with this.
The final frame dimension were 15-1/4, 7-1/2. The front bow could stand to be tighter. When I push on it the wrinkle over the door goes away.
