Re: Bugeye 1275 temp probe placement.

Thanks for the info and I have an extra adapter for the temp probe. I currently have an electronic temp probe in the head just to plug the hole.

    Bugeye 1275 temp probe placement.

I currently have my temp probe in the radiator and every now and then I get a little air pocket which causes the temp to read low. Any reason not to move it to the head?
    Thanks, Rut

I have to thank my wife for the shop...she encouraged me to replace the one that burned and upgrade a little. I didn’t fight her!

    Re: Cut down windshield

    Paul,
Alabama does inspections for vin numbers and that’s about it. No title, just a bill of sale for a tag and the vintage tags are good for as long as you own the car...I think it’s a $25 one...

I didn’t know Bugeye guy had one and I like the shorter uprights, but I almost had heart failure after seeing the price! I think I’ll cut mine a little lower and tig some caps on, then grind them...

    Re: Cut down windshield

    Stan,
No inspections in Alabama outside of vin verification when you buy your tag. No titles either and the vintage tags are a one time purchase for the life of ownership. I have titles for all of...

    Cut down windshield

I meant to post this awhile back, but better late than never. I ended up going with 1/4 polycarbonate and it was easy to work and the edges polished out nicely.

Front end is now together and on the bench with the other completed components awaiting installation. The last issue was the wrong castle nuts which were locking up the trunnions.

TR4/4A Re: SU HS6 throttle spindle size

I always test the shaft to bushing/carb fit by putting the unworn portion of the shaft into the carb and ‘feeling’ if it’s loose or not. I use this method on HS2s, 4s, 6s and 8s and it works well....
