Need soft top for Morris Minor

My shop partner has a nice Minor convertible that needs a new top. Anyone have a suggestion on where to start looking?

    Re: More Sprite progress finally

I have the standard transmission. I ordered the clutch slave too and I really like your idea of a remote bleeder.
  3. Re: Once Again,Proof That Your Internet Postings Never Go Away

Darn, I can't find it now but I had a cartoon of a momma bird and her baby. Momma was saying "Try to hold it until I can find a clean car."

    Re: More Sprite progress finally

Ok, got a set of Kumho 155 tires. Got the blanking plugs installed for the lower trunions. One side had a burr inside the control arm that had to be ground away to get it to fit. Set it on the...

I stand corrected. That would be fun and give you the best of both too. Yours looks nice Jim.

    Re: More Sprite progress finally

Thanks but can't do a front tilt Jim. This is a MkIV. I have a sway bar but the control arms are not drilled for it. Waiting until on the ground to get it all lined up right to drill.

    Re: The times, they are

Well, I can almost agree, or would have until my daughter gave me her old iphone. I have to admit that I probably use it for text messages almost more that voice calls. And it is really convenient...

    Re: More Sprite progress finally

More work since the last post. Front and rear suspension completely installed. Brakes installed except for the master cylinders which are next. Fuel system finished as far as can be until the engine...
  11. Re: What are symptoms of steering rack not shimmed right?

I finally managed to get a photo good enough to see that the column appears to be pretty well centered. I think any more shim would move it too far right. I have plenty of scraps around to make a...

Re: Proud of my 1960 Bugeye

Congratulations. Sounds like you were the real winner.
  15. Re: What are symptoms of steering rack not shimmed right?

Rhody's shim looks a lot thicker than my washers. I think the column is now centered in the hole but will be back at the shop later today and get a close up shot with the camera to be sure. Also, the...
  16. Re: What are symptoms of steering rack not shimmed right?

I'm not completely finished with it yet but as of now I have a washer under the PS and that seems to center the column in the foot well hole.
  17. Re: What are symptoms of steering rack not shimmed right?

Kurt, I have tried loosening the bolts and other experimenting. Nothing seems to make any difference. It just feels a little stiffer than I expected, not bad but just a little stiff. Maybe Rut is...
  18. Re: What are symptoms of steering rack not shimmed right?

Thanks for relieving my worry with that Rut. I also had a moment of brilliance in the middle of the night last night. It occurred that the rack just needs to be "adjusted" so the rigid column fits...
  19. What are symptoms of steering rack not shimmed right?

The last part of assembling the front suspension and steering was the steering column. It works all right but just feels a little stiffer than I expected. The car is still on jack stands but...

    Re: Inspection Time

Oklahoma had inspections back in the '90s for just a few years. I think it might have been a federal mandated thing then.
