    Re: A hello

    Welcome,

I concur, buy a Series 2 car and do what I did. Blow the engine and stuff a Rover and a 5 speed in it like they do across the pond. Mine is a screamer! Better gas mileage on the V8...

    Re: Woodwork?

I think they were there this weekend. I couldn't make it. Too many obligations and too far from Texas.

    Re: 280i seat swap?

I put a set of Miata seats in mine too. Adapted the seat to the TVR track so it bolts in stock. Much more comfortable and because the seat profile is lower I get a little more clearance betwween my...

    Re: What's happened to TVR

    Nick,

What is reality anyway? I think the best way to put it is that TVR is in another dimension and may or may not visit our universe sometime in the future!

Re: 280i Manual to Power Steering Conversion

You may be right Marshall, I was just quoting from the book. I don't think he differentiated the different series.

As for PAS, it would be nice but I would only do mine if I found a rackk that I...

Re: 280i Manual to Power Steering Conversion

Haven't visited in awhile but I will chime in here. According to Steve Heath you could have either A/C or PAS with a Tasmin in the US. Most owners chose A/C with only a handful of cars coosing PAS....

Re: Get your check book out!

That car is a bargain at $12k. I have 15" Ronal's on my Wedge.

Re: Get your check book out!

Wow, that is really stuffed in there. Looks like a bargain at that price. My Rover conversion cost almost that not including the car!

    Re: TOP GLASS

Well unless you can do it yourself (or are willing to) that is only about 1.5-2hrs labor. Not bad IMHO.

Go get another estimate. My upholstery guy charges around $150 for a replacement window.
  13. Re: V8 and the V6 Tasmins have the same radiator?

    Guys,

As far as I can tell the Ford V6 and Rover V8's used the same radiator. My current project a Lotus 7 clone Superstalker uses a 2002 V6 Superchaarged GM motor and a 87 Hyundai Excel 4...
  14. Re: V8 and the V6 Tasmins have the same radiator?

In my recent V8 conversion I am using the V6 nosecone radiator and it seems to work fine but that is with a Rover Motor. Not sure how a 5.0 would work as it may have more stringent heat requirements.

Re: I will soon have a 350i in the US

    Here is a teaser.......
Car is back on the road. After sorting a few issues (not major) the review of the entire process will be in article in the next TVR times. So if you are not a member of the...

Re: I will soon have a 350i in the US

Quick update: Engine is in and almost fully connected. There is several items to button up and a fair amount of wiring to do as well as redoing the fuel lines as the car has sat for awhile. I...

Re: I will soon have a 350i in the US

You will not make me switch back to a V6 for anything Marshall! Seriously, the motor is in, now the custom headers and then wiring and I am back on the road!

Just an update in case anyone is interested. The Engine is in the car. I needed the help of a local fabrication shop because the fellows from across the pond were wrong, this was anything but a...

    Hey Russ

I remember you from the TVR page. Thanks for the comments. I am finally starting to get excited about the Jag. It looks good, the painter seems to have done a really good job.

    Ex,

I'm no expert but I'm guessting you can't mix old and new paint technologies. You'll either have to seal and respray the whole thing or try and find some of the old paint. Check with the...
