    TR6 » Re: 1974 Tr6 ignition switch

ISTR the switch splits in half, held together with a tiny Phillips screw. I did a post on the ‘74 ignition switch on this very forum. You will probably need to remove the speedo and tach gauges to...

  5. TR2/3/3A » Re: rubber seal go towards the inside of the trunk

I’ll play along... I replaced the original trunk weatherstripping a couple of years ago, using the TRF seal, pre 60K car. Using the original as a template, the seal “points” outward. After a couple...

    TR2/3/3A » Re: Waking up a 1959 TR3A

Interesting, mine was bought new on December 26, 1959: I have the original bill of sale.

Comparing our commission numbers, Triumph sold a lot of TR3s in 1959!

    Good luck with your “awakening”.

Just for curiosity’s sake, is there a manufacturer date stamped onto the bottom of your defective coil?

I’m still driving on an 08/59 coil, and always wondering... is today the day?

Without Geo’s tip of using dental floss, they are a PITA to reassemble.

TR2/3/3A » Re: Water pump gasket sealant???

Way back when, I used a thin coat of Hylomar on both sides of the paper gasket, and all is well.
  10. TR2/3/3A » Re: Hydraulic supply lines from reservoir..replace with flexible

TRF sells the reservoir. 10+ years ago, only MOSS had the pre-bent lines, and I bought both clutch and brake lines. Had to put a copper crush washer in one of them to cure a leak with the rebuilt...
