    Re: BN6 Battery location

Seems I don't have a decent picture of the battery in my car__I guess no one's asked before!

I moved the fuel pump to the RH side, sitting above the hot exhaust seemed like a poor choice.

  2. Re: What is this broken part in my transmission/OD?

I don't think it is the one at the one-way clutch/annalus gear, I think it is this__much more fragile__one, between the sun and planetary gear set.

    Re: Chrome or painted wheels

It comes down to personal choice, really. I've had a couple sets of chrome wire wheels, comments as follows...

    This is a fact!

This was true a number of decades ago, but I'm not convinced that...

Re: I値l take two if you have them

Knows nothing about the art of composition, that's for sure.

At least it wasn't a video taken with the "camera" held upright__or maybe there was, I couldn't stand to look any further!

    Re: BN4 Cam Gear Install

DO BE CAREFUL about letting the cam drift in too far, as the #6 exhaust lobe will damage the rearmost bearing.

I'd at least temporarily bolt the rear plate on before going any further with...

Another BJ8, which looks to be undisturbed from original installation.

    Re: Special tools for LBC'S

Good for you! While I can compose a paragraph or two, it would tax my abilities to write a complete article, let alone a series of them. You are welcome to use any of the pictures I've posted here,...

Re: I値l take two if you have them

I had to wonder; what was the point of that?!?!

Maybe it's a first time (major commercial, not ebay) auction consignor, or merely a narcissistic showoff, but I hardly think promoting a car at ten...
  10. Re: How does overdrive Annulus effect speedometer

I just use an app on my cellphone. A glance at it every once in a while is all I need__the speed of a Healey doesn't drift upwards with near the unintentional ease of some of our other cars (that I...

Re: BJ8 Rear Wheel Cylinder leaking

I concur. In the old days, (American and foreign cars) it was customary to just buy the wheel cylinder kits (rubber seals and boots) do a clean-up hone on the cylinders and put them back together. ...

    Re: HD8 Carburetor rebuild help

You know, they're really not that hard to rebuild yourself, at least until you decide to replace the shaft bushes (and usually, the bushes are fine, just the shaft is worn).

  17. Re: How to remove entire dash panel on BN6?

Easy. A couple of screws at each end, and one in the center of the dash.

With all the devices removed, the only Big Thing is to remove the steering wheel, and trafficator with stator tube.

Better odds with a BN6; 4150 of those produced, and the 3000 engine and front disc brakes can be easily swapped over.
