  1. Re: New Member New owner of two 1958 TR3s found in a junk yard.

Hey - welcome to BCF. Sounds like you've got quite an adventure ahead. And I sure do envy you having your own shop; us shade-tree mechanics often have to work between rain drops. Remember, "rust...

    Re: Spark Plugs

Seafoam worked wonders on my TR3 engine. I did the "one tablespoon of SF in each cylinder, soak overnight" technique. Got all four cylinders nearly equal in (good) compression.

Mike - that Python video is priceless. Thanks for posting it.

Water? We didn't have no stinkin' water - we had to squeeze rocks when we were thirsty. I wanted to mash them with a hammer, but couldn't afford a hammer, so had to use my head.

    Life was tough!

    Fountain of Youth

Police arrested a guy for selling secret formula tablets which he claimed would give eternal youth.

Officers checked his records. Turns out the guy had been arrested for this twice before.

    Re: DIL's O2 sensor problem - SOLVED

Congrats on the victory. But it re-inforces my thoughts on trouble-shooting based on codes. Sometimes it's not the engine that has the problem - it's the diagnosis system!
