Re: It's a jungle out there!

Talking with mom on Sunday, she said there were 8 deer walking down the street. She does not like in a rural area.

    Hi Michael,
If you have a smart phone, you can speech-to-text on that and email it to yourself.

Re: Not too many scratches in this one.

Why do parents not see that they are handicapping their children? Had a mother on Nextdoor asking if anyone knew the DMV driving test route so her child could practise it. Personally, I'd want my...

I've never heard of that. What are you trying to achieve?

I love this story. Much older than the above 5 year old, but impressive.

Re: Tonight's job - sewing machines.

I have sewn in the past but not so much in the last 20 years. The few people I have talked to about the machines are that the new ones don't last very long. I learned on my mom's Bernina. Saw one at...

    Re: So ... what's up?

Was it really $5/lb? When I was a kid, we picked strawberries for my mom's jam at a local farm. One in the basket, one in the mouth. I was not weighed before and after going into the field.

    Re: Austin-Healey Parade Cars

I drove my mom's Fiat spider in the homecoming parade in high school. The girl who sat on the back as you described was wearing high heels. Her heal put a puncture in the back seat cushion about a...

Re: Pourquoi viens-tu si tard ?

Sorry Bob, didn't mean to imply the Healey was in the film. It was parked nearby the main town street set. Don't rewatch the movie looking for it. :o

Re: Pourquoi viens-tu si tard ?

A friend of mine sent me a photo many years ago of a red Healey when he was working on The Book of Eli in New Mexico. Wonder if it was the same car?

Re: Pourquoi viens-tu si tard ?

Clint Eastwood's The Mule had a red BJ8 parked in a couple shots at the cartel's mansion. IMCDb has a night shot of it. Earlier it was in a better day shot.

    Re: Does your neighborhood howl

If that happens, I have a Crown amp for Tom to use. That and some 18" woofers will do the job.

Re: Best way to destroy hard drive?

I've had 2 hard drives fail on me. Both were fairly new, as in less than a year and not running around the clock. Both were Seagates.

Re: Best way to destroy hard drive?

It would have been easier for him to number the drives before shooting them. Guess he'll have to do it again.

Re: Best way to destroy hard drive?

I disassemble the drives for the magnets. They are good for holding steel together for welding. Once the drives are apart, I bend the crap outta' the platters with a wrench. There was one drive where...

And the wrench you used 86% of the time was the one next to the blue handled wire cutters.

It looks like you have to share the photos in your google album. I don't use any cloud service anymore because it could end at any time, sometimes without warning.
