    Re: Bondo problem

Black is certainly merciless, you have to really know what you are doing to prep for it. I have done a couple of cars but always light colors.

Re: Baseball Hats - Why Pay

Last cap I got that had an ad on it was a Hornaday hat I got for free when buying some reloading supplies at H&H in OKC. I like it because it is missing the button on top most have so it isn't...

Re: Miata - ALMOST Made it Home

It could have been worse, you could have bought an MG and all the smoke could have escaped the wires on the way home.
  5. Re: Movie trailer I saw over the weekend

I saw that trailer, looks like it will be worth a look see.

    Re: Vinyl making a comeback?

I think that for a lot of kids their attraction to vinyl is due to it being fashionable. On the other hand I maintain my records partially because I have a decent sized collection I do not want to...
  8. Re: When did Google Maps become so faint?

Elliot, I reckon any city I am traveling to is going to have traffic issues so I just plan to sit on my rear and don't get in a hurry.

    Re: Vinyl making a comeback?

The exact number of LPs I have is unknown but it is in the neighborhood 500, not including 45s and 78s.
  10. Re: When did Google Maps become so faint?

I hate having that annoying voice telling me what to do. I much prefer looking a place up on paper maps and plotting my own routes.

    Re: Some songs

I have a little under 4000 on my Ipod, I am not sure what that'd jump up to if I digitized all my cassettes, 8-tracks, LPs, 45s, 78s, and wax cylinders.
  12. Re: When did Google Maps become so faint?

I am rather fond of the old fashioned large road atlases. I wish they were still as easy to find as they used to be.

    Re: Thoughts/advice on Miatas?

Nice, it looks like a real beaut.
  14. Re: When did Google Maps become so faint?

I still carry around my Rand-McNally road atlas from 1988. It is also what I used to win the virtual rally twice.

    Re: Latest Side Projects

I've been thinking about picking up a clarinet and getting back into playing. I just haven't have the proper motivation.

    Re: Thoughts/advice on Miatas?

Doug, go for it. I've thought about picking up a Miata for a daily driver myself, of course I used my 79 Spit as a daily driver for nearly five years.

I was a woodwind repairman for many years, throughout high school and into college a bit. I am very interested in your project and would like it if you could post pictures of your clarinets. Clarinet...

    Re: More aircraft

The Wrights didn't use ailerons though, they used wing warping. I believe it was Curtis who invented the aileron. Whether or not they were really the first to make a flight they were certainly the...

    Re: RIP Jessi Combs

She was an impressive woman. On the one hand the world is a little less for her death, on the other she died doing what she loved. That seems like the best way to go.
