    Thanks button error

I tried to give a "Thanks" to a couple of posts in the Randy Forbes thread in the Austin Healey forum and I get:

    What gives?
  4. Re: Non-Adjustable steering column questions

No, prying the horn button out only gets you to the horn contacts. You have to undo the olive at the far end of the steering gear and pull the stator tube withe the trafficator and horn circuit out...

    Re: Scuttle shake.

I'm sure the upper 100-6 shroud is different than the BJ8 shroud. A friend of mine with a BJ7 must have had the same body shop work on his as worked on yours. He pulled off his windshield and dash...

    Re: "Power Wall"?

I have a friend that has one. In addition to supplying power if the grid goes down, it supplies power to him at night, so he doesn't have to pay utility prices.

    Have you seen this datasheet?...

  13. Re: AHCA Notification Email Received Today

Outlook put it in my spam folder. It looks suspicious as it's from dahunts4@aol.com. Also, I would expect all AHCA officers to be at Deadwood.
  14. Re: engine stutter of rebuild BT7 engine (tri-carb) above 2500 rpm

The ignition timing should advance as engine speed increases so that maximum cylinder pressure is reached at top dead center (TDC).

If you have the original crankshaft pulley, there is a notch cut...

  16. Re: engine stutter of rebuild BT7 engine (tri-carb) above 2500 rpm

My thought is that you may not be getting sufficient ignition advance. With the vacuum advance disconnected, do you get 35 def of advance at 3,500 rpm?

Re: FFuel overflowing at Intake Manifold

If fuel is coming out the float bowl overflow tubes, the Grose Jets are not shutting off the fuel supply. The bowl overflows are higher than the bowl inlet valves.

Re: FFuel overflowing at Intake Manifold

    1. Use the SU float valves.
    2. Did you clean the Grose jet float valves with acetone before installation? They come with a coating on them.

According to Anderson & Moment, the pumpkin should be painted black along with the axle housing, the front & rear Armstrong shock bodies are unpainted and the arms are black.

    Re: Healey model and year

I have no idea what the engine is, but it's not a Healey engine. The left door is from a 57 or early 58 Longbridge, but the hood, even though the prop rod is on the left side, isn't. It would have...
