    Yes there are, but a good cleaning of the perimeter of the hole is usually required for a tight seal....and then there's the JB weld option
    You could give Joe Curto a call, he may have a plugless...

    I don't think an additional paper gasket would be the answer....You are going to need something that will ooze into the crevices.
    Permatex Ultra Gray Gasket Maker would be my choice if faced with...

    Sure, it's supposed to withstand vacuum until it opens, but why do you need it in the first place ?
    Cap the nipple tightly on the banjo fitting and see ? Run-on was mainly because of the gasoline...

    See if I have this right...
    You unplugged the ARV hose from the intake manifold's Banjo Fitting and 'sucked' into the hose and ARV with a vacuum pump, but the Vacuum would not hold.
    If I got that...

    Be sure to follow the installation sequence in Bentley for that sealing block..the part about when to tighten the 'set screws'

    If there is a nipple screwed into the hole and you unscrew it you may be able to see a hole about the size of a window screen wire in the dead center of the bottom of the hole leading to the throat...

    Next time it happens, don't try again. Put it in 4th gear and push the car forward or back about 3 feet, put the tranny back in Neutral and try again.

    Could be like a lot of things, the new stuff could be inferior.
    Last October at the TRials up in St Louis, there were about 80 TR6's...I saw 2 with fresh looking green top radiator hoses split....

    Keep an eye on that green top radiator hose and it would be a good idea to keep a good spare one in the boot.

    It's not a good idea to shoot for maximum manifold vacuum and leave it there....back off about 3 in-Hg less.

    The 76 distributor, in fact all since 72 lacked a vacuum advance module on the distributor...
    Did you have the vacuum Retard module...
