My steering box appears to be leaking, though it's not leaking from the brass olive on the very end of the trafficator tube.

How do I get this box assy out? A person who knows these cars really...

    Su carbs for a Metropolitan?

Anybody ever put H2 SUs on a (MGA 1500) Metropolitan? It has an OEM Zenith carb but I know SUs better than I'll ever understand Zenith carbs.

    MGA Decipher MGA engine Code

My MGA 1500 motor (installed in a Nash Met) has a number that I can't figure out. It's on the aluminum plate on the pass side of the motor, up by the base of the head.

    Re: Met front brake pistons

Doug, I've sent pix to Pit Stop so I hope they can clear this up asap. I've had over a dozen British cars, done brakes on most of them. Never thought a Met would have this strange problem. After...

Pit Stop is closed today, so I thought I'd go to 'the masses' to maybe get ahead of my call to them tomorrow.

Got sealing rubber rings for the brake pistons from Pit Stop for my (E55685). They don't fit. The hole in the new ones are much too small, especially as compared to the old rubber rings which were in...

    NASH METROPOLITAN trans capacity?

Hello, any Met owners out there. My book says 3.5 pts to fill the trans. I have a dipstick that said it just took around 3.5 qts....

IIRC, pts are somewhat different than qts....

OK. Got the window reg out, found that some %#%!@* PO ruined one arm of the window lift mech by hammering out the designed offset curve. It changed the whole geometry. Ordered one from PitStop,...

Thanks for the ideas, Doug. I don't at present have a go to Met site but I'm still looking.

    Thanks, Bayless.
I now recall the idea of taking the friction out of the system by raising the wheels. IIRC, I want to feel just the slightest drag at center when it's right.
