  1. Re: How to inspect the frame in a pre-purchase inspection on a restored car?

If you want more info on the frames visit the archives for “Martin Jansen” aka “Frameman”.
  2. Re: Front Shroud Differences: 3000 vs. BJ8

Depending upon which BJ8 shroud you have the size of the park & turn signal lights are larger on the BJ8 and as said, the windshield area too is different. Try to find an early shroud. They’re around.

    Re: Cigar Lighter

Mine works, I tested it but haven’t installed it, yet. I pulled it out of a junkyard from a Saab. I think the Saab was a Rally version they made and I grabbed all the cables, etc.

    Re: 3000 BJ8 Door Seals

Thanks for sharing the photos! That bend is almost 90 degrees and I thought that maybe cutting a V at that point would relieve the stress making it look better.

    Re: Sump Gasket Question

My metallic clicking sound ended up being broken piston ring on top of piston. Compression test did not reveal this nor did a stethoscope. Can you bore-sight it?

    Re: AH EFI build... again

I think my Jag XJS V12 had some sort of AC cooling unit on top of the engine to cool the fuel.
  15. Re: BJ8 Leather interior - what pieces were leather/vinyl

I did notify them about 7 years ago. Also, the dash cover wasn’t black like it was supposed to be nor the door arm rests, but we, wife and I, liked the difference.
  16. Re: BJ8 Leather interior - what pieces were leather/vinyl

[QUOTE=AUSMHLY;1126168]Are you sure with the leather interior, the side panels have embossing? Can you please direct me to a link or something that clarifies that.

    My leather interior is from...
  17. Re: BJ8 Leather interior - what pieces were leather/vinyl

The rear side panels did have the large embossing. The seat backrest was pleated. The piping was matched to the seat covers color.
  18. Re: I canít remove Wire wheels from new hubs - help

Good wives are hard to come by! When I restored my BJ8 Healey she picked out the interior and insisted on leather. I was going to go with painted wheels and she insisted on chrome.
  19. Re: I canít remove Wire wheels from new hubs - help

I’ve had good luck with “dry ice” removing frozen bolts, etc.

I also had a rear wheel hub that was too tight and I couldn’t remove the wheel and my wife suggested regular ice and I put that in...
