Basil Checks in to Fawlty Towers

Any chance karma is dishing out some payback to John Cleese for his years of running a substandard hotel?

  2. Re: Iíve lost my mind, or whatís left of it!

Tough letting go of the cars we've owned for so long. As we age, they get less practical by the day and the lure of more comfort and performance is hard to resist. But it also seems like we're...

    Re: Electric car owners?

I'm not anti-electric car, but there are some problems that need to be ironed out. Here's a video of holiday traffic in December in Lake Tahoe of Teslas waiting for a recharge. Owners said it took...

    Re: Electric car owners?

Just talked to a guy that travelled Boston to Chicago in a Tesla S. Liked the car, but every 150 miles a 45 minute stop for a recharge. Sitting around in highway rest stops for 45 minutes at a...

    Re: And...Godspeed Robert Conrad.

Friday night and 15 year old me with a tall glass of milk, box of Chips Ahoy cookies that Mom bought on her Friday night grocery run, and Wild Wild West on the TV. Life was good.

Mine was in a pile of parts the seller had when I bought the car. Between my GPS driven speedo and Ford transmission, there's no way I could figure out how to make it operable. Take a look at what...

I was lucky enough to get up close and personal with the Bullitt car during its press reveal at Mecum in Monterey last year. That's me with the arrow pointing to my head. That car really is beat. If...

  17. Re: Confirmation That the Collector Car Market is NUTS!

True, but the interesting thing about BaT is they're not serving free booze to get the two bidders in the room to engage in a death-match.
  18. Re: Confirmation That the Collector Car Market is NUTS!

Every so often I think of what new car I could buy if I sold my two Healeys and, obviously, have always figured it's not worth it. But there are a couple of brand new Ferraris you could buy for the...

    Re: BJ8 Front End Squeak

We M@sssholes need to stick together. Glad you found the noise. This seems to be a recommended lube, but it wouldn't surprise me if you'd have to redo it every so often when it started squeaking...

    Re: BJ8 Front End Squeak

I'd give a look to the Delrin bushes. Some squeak. Maybe you can get some wd40 in there as a temporary test to see if it stops the squeaking and if so, do a Goggle search for Delrin bushing lube.
