    Re: '72 Mercury Capri

Cute, but they really were pretty cool cars - especially the V6s. https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2014/03/28/nearly-extinct-cars

And so it begins! Thanks for the update - I look forward to reading of your progress, and I know you're gonna have a blast with it. Just remember: the journey is more valuable than the end...

MGB Re: B V6 Conversion Recommendations

    Hey, Kev -

Having done one on a '69, I can tell you that it's not that bad. The rubber bumper Bs are easier, as the firewall has more room, motor mounts are different, and the radiator location...

    Re: Datsun 2000

And interestingly, the first of the body style of the later models, the SP 310 (1500 cc, I think), which closely resembles the MGB, debuted before the MGB!

Well, Alon, it certainly sounds like you've got your hands full! And you have the priorities right with your list. I think you're on the right track by starting from scratch with the wiring, as it...

    Re: Datsun 2000

    Marv -

I had a '69 2000 back around 1980 - great car! The overhead cam is fairly rev happy, and the five speed is a nice addition. And they were very successful in SCCA racing - I think Bob...

Re: New to BCF, not to BCs

    Paul -
Very familiar with the area. Grandmother lived in San Antone (proper pronunciation... :jester:) and aunt and uncle in Comfort. Spent many vacations in the late fifties/early sixties at...

    Re: Ford vs. Ferrari

Two things: I haven't seen the movie yet, and am looking forward to it. Please, no spoilers!

And again, it's a MOVIE... best you can say is that it's fact-based - albeit loosely, perhaps - and...

Re: New to me 1972 but not new to MGB

    Welcome, Alon - great story!

So, where are you hiding this little gem 'til you get things sorted out?

The '72 is a great choice, and I see the elusive grill trim for the hood is there - don't...

    Re: Camping

Don't know. I do know that there aren't many manual transmission units out there, no doubt due to most folks not wanting them. That can affect pricing both ways...

    Re: Camping

Xterras are great trucks! Mine's a '13 model S with manual transmission so we can tow it behind the motorhome. Very capable 4-by-4s with an active following. Pity Nissan dropped it a few years ago.

By the way, how's the GMC motorhome coming along? We're thinking about making a trip across Canada next year - interested in joining us?
