    MGB Re: Said Goodbye...

Richard, sorry to hear the time had come for you to get rid of the B, but I do understand. It hurt to get rid of the '37 TA, but like you it was time.
    Now,
Welcome to the dark side. The XK8...
  2. TR4/4A Re: GROSE-JET or Viton-tip for SU HS6 carbs?

Agree with Joe. They are shipped with a sticky lub and if you don't clean with carb cleaner, they will not work.
Any car that has sat for a period of time our cars do will have a problem with the...

Hal, I will send you a PM with my phone number, if you would like to call, I'm good for right now.
I can tell you what not to try, under the floor. Making a pedal and finding the right pivot point...

Hal, if you are finding out your wrench is not really fitting the nut or bolt head. Surprise, they are Whitworth fittings. Lots of places sell them as Harley Davidson used them for years. Finding...

Hal, will get you a couple tomorrow.
The rod with the pedal on top is the rod that goes into the master cylinder to displace the fluid to the pipes. It's a tall fill chamber and has a inline...

Post-War Other Re: 1949 2000 Triumph Roadster brakes

Hal, try Kips Auto in Texas. If no luck there, the Roadster Club in England sales all kind of parts and the exchange rate is not bad at all.
Shipping is competitive. I think you have to be a...

    TR4/4A Re: Performance cam

Do a little research on getting rid of the shape edges in the combustion camber and a bit of a shave of the head.
I do agree a stock cam does a good job, but a well used one will have worn lobs and...

    TR2/3/3A Re: Fuel Shutoff Valve

Very nice, wonder how many of those are still on the cars.
All of the SU's and Stromberg's needed on if they set around, the full tank would empty right into the crank case when the needle and set...

    TR6 Re: Heater Removal

Don't make it a impossible task. Take the dash support out and the carpet off the tunnel will give you the room to get it out. Use a turkey baster to get the anti freeze out of there so you don't...

TR6 Re: I will not be buffing out -opinions?

Most of that is is bolt on parts, so if you have access to the parts and the rest of the car was good, fix for sure.

Make the decision that works for you, good luck.

    TR6 Re: Need a frame for TR6

Have a look on Triumph Experience and the BST Forum. Wyatt has a TR6 junker with he claims a good frame with overdrive. The price would be less than the overdrive is worth.

  16. Re: Why Would Anyone Butcher a Healey with a V8?

Have a look at the condenser and wire from the coil to make sure they are under the plastic sleeve and not on top of the stud.

Different rubber compound. I too look for the equivalent size in mine or others I help with.
Even found the cups for the Roadster wheel cylinders.

  23. TR2/3/3A Re: Recondition old wire wheels or buy new?

    TR6 Re: Rear Oil Seal?

If it's about 1/8 inch across, that is the only thing in there it could be. Possible it was done on installation. Not centered when pushed over the crank end.
  25. TR5/TR250 Re: Wiper wheel box knurled end not tight on arm

Bob, wrap the end with a couple of loops of aluminum foil, leave some overhang on the top so when you push it down it will not just shove off.
Hope you don't have to drive too much in the rain,...
