    Stan, I'm not sure what you mean, but make sure it is under compression when the drive shaft is loaded.

    Is there a correct position for the grease nipples on prop' shaft universal joints? Should they point towards or away from the shaft?

    Bob, I had the same problem, I cut the end off the pump, set a push switch (1.79 from ebay) in resin within the pump body, all looks original and works a treat.

    derekj, yes the shims between the posts and bulkhead, I fitted the whole windscreen assembly with the bolts into the bulkhead loose, then made shims with slots to fit around...

    From what I remember of the spin on filter there are only two holes in it and they both line up with the holes in the block.
