The parts book shows 33 needles for second gear and 32 for third gear . I can't find any other use for the extra needle in the BJ8 gearbox .

Re: Master cylinder packing pieces (shims)

The parts book lists shims for both the clutch and brake pedal. Two shims (top and bottom) for the brake pedal and "as required" for the clutch pedal. This seems to suggest the brake pedal actually...

    Re: Fuel tank straps

The material riveted to each strap is a thin strip of rubber. I am not quite sure of the rivet type but will check tomorrow and let you know.

    Re: Numbered Spark Plug Boots?

I think you are searching for the boots which were fitted to the earlier cars and finished with the BJ7. The BJ8's used the wrap around tags.

Here is a image of an original untouched BJ7 with the bracket steering column steady AHB9176. This is a RHD vehicle and the bracket has a slight bend but not as much as the original image.

My main point of all of this is why one company can post at a reasonable actual cost and another has a fixed high rate . Surely the low rates are more acceptable to the customer.
