    Re: Apollo 13 Moon Fly-by

I had the impression that it is video captured with the current lunar orbiter... and because if flew so close, it was essentially the path of Apollo 13.

    Re: Today's Sanitation Alert

Yes, coliform bacteria is everywhere... but to varying degrees. All I know is that I'll never look at that conveyor-belt the same again. :excitement:

I'm now wondering about the inexpensive...

    Today's Sanitation Alert

    [you're welcome - LOL]

There is an amusing letter to/from “Dr. Know” (funny guy) in the current issue of a local newspaper. I couldn't find a link to it, so here's something similar instead (from...

    Re: New Rules for drones

I would think it would be easy to modify software to pinpoint the operator. All DJI drones set a "home-point."
However, toy-grade drones will continue to be a problem.
    Would all this apply to...

    Apollo 13 Moon Fly-by

Just like you were there... 4K video released (from some lunar orbiter). View in full-screen mode.

I sure would be too. The transmission/prop-shaft tunnel is a critical player in the stiffness of a Sprite.

    Re: Paperless!

My wife is fanatical about it... and keeps nudging me to go paperless. I am moving that way. However, even with on-line/email reminders of bills, I don't like losing paper-reminders for credit cards...

    Nice blurb on FUEL WASH...

I have always warmed up an SU-carb-based car (and, frankly, had to so-as to get the car running nice), but with fuel injection:

    Re: Electric car owners?

    One thing nobody has mentioned:
    1) where does the power to charge these come from (coal, hydro-electric, nuclear, ???)
    2) what is the large "cost" of manufacturing and recycling batteries.

    Re: Electric car owners?

Following up on my post about the Fiat 500e... the best thing about those city-cars is that they underwent MASSIVE depreciation. An original low mileage $30K car could be had $10K (that was just a...

And speaking of electric cars... will the software be owned by the owner (or will be it more like a Microsoft lease of your operating system)!

    Re: Electric car owners?

I also have a friend with the Fiat "500e" (and is a mechanic) and he loves it... but only for a short-trip city driver. Small and easy to use.
Interestingly, it has heated seats and steering! I...

    Re: Electric car owners?

The Audi checks in with a reliable 205 miles (though obviously that's a function of how the car is used). I think that will prove to be too little except for a "local" car.
    300 miles will be a...

    Re: Electric car owners?

Was given an Audi E-tron as a one-day loaner (while my Q5 had some recall stuff done). It was amazing. A 402hp SUV with gobs of bells and whistles... but, about $85K.
It was probably the best sales...

    Country Mailbox

This is clever (and would not only work for baseball bats outside but fireworks on the inside). Easy to make too!
