    I used to own the special tool for torqueing the head without removing the rocker gear. Problem was, it wouldnt do the nuts either side of the oil feed pipe, as there wasnt room

    I wouldnt have thought that the strength of the brackets was an issue. If too much load goes there the whole bracket will tear out of the chassis ( I know ! )

    I dont believe that these engines were balanced to a high degree when originally built. I was amazed just how different my conrod weights were
