If you have already used the red, then don't worry about it. As long as you don't have globs hanging inside the pan it will work fine. Sounds like you'll have a mechanically new car when you're...

And yes, red RTV is not recommended for oil applications. The lighter the oil, the quicker it breaks down. As with many applications...it will work with...

Yep...2 cars are on my final restoration list. E type at the top, followed by '67 Camaro conv. The Camaro was my first "real" car that got away, and the E has to be the best looking car ever built.

Did you run a tap through the threads and clean completely dry with brake or carb cleaner? One issue with those plugs is they are straight thread, not tapered like a pipe thread. For that reason...

That’s the lift eye that goes on the rear of the head. I think it sets under 1 head bolt and 1 manifold bolt. Not all cars had them.

Yes, the fuel level seen at the jet correlates to the float level. It should be below the top of the jet, or it will run down the manifold and flood the engine between runs. If it is too low to be...

I know Randall went to the hospital, but have not heard why or results. That was almost 2 weeks ago. Hope and pray he gets better.

A pic of the bolted door would help. I think you are saying that the when you tighten the hinge the door moves forward? Or, are you saying it moves forward as the door pivots open?
