Re: World War 2--would I have served honorably?

Funny thing about that. Had some WWII SubVets tell us we couldn't be real Submariners as we'd not been depth-charged. Until my buddy stood up (Flasher, SSN-613) and related being on board while...

    Re: change a MP4 file to a jpg ?

It is a video format file. You cannot make a ,jpg that is the entire file. Screen shot of the video stopped where you want it is best option.
No converter websites have anything from MP4 to .jpg....

Spitfire Re: Overdrive again and again...

Ah. There's the rub. Convention tells us direction is always referenced from driver's seat. Left/Right/Front/Back. Most likely clockwise and anti-clockwise. Up and down? Depends on if you're...

I don't think that pin will go in until you lift the centre bar enough. You are hitting the non-sawtooth area.

    Re: Jack Stand Recall

I have grey ones. Tags have been gone for ever. I suspect 20+ years old. I see a Patent on-line for 2008. No way. My accident was 1999, quit pro auto repair then, and these were old at that time.

    TR6 Re: Gearbox rebuild issues

Spraying Weaselpee on the interference fit bearing and shaft is going to do zero good. Of course, taking it next to a shop and using a 60-ton press to finally get it apart, everyone will think the...

TR2/3/3A Re: Aluminum Plug in Head

On 49-53 Ford flathead V-8's there is a half rear main rope seal retainer that taps into the block. The number of times the shop kid doesn't understand "complete teardown, then tank" has...

TR2/3/3A Re: Aluminum Plug in Head

yeah, as soon as I saw "aluminium plug" and "hot tank" in the same sentence I figured that caused the failure.

Stuff of legend, especially amongst Fast Attack Tough sailors when regarding Part Time Boomers.
  16. Re: Long since fed up, but this is beyond the pale....

You're thinking galleries, as in art. Only find them on boomers (missile boats) which employ part-time sailors, who have to keep their art appreciation up at 4-7 knot patrol speed.
    heck, one of them...
  17. Re: Long since fed up, but this is beyond the pale....

Just the one, hence the overwhelming complaints. Folks got tired of catching their own fish through a hole in the ice and cooking outside.

    What, you didn't know?

Sort of like, how many galleys...

Apparently there was an overwhelming negative reaction from restaurant owners, and the gummint is now re-thinking that.

Yes, but it's been a while. Recently, the scammers are using more low-hanging fruit and doing that with earthlink. Hundreds of them this year.
