  2. TR2/3/3A » Re: OD angle drive engaging the speedo cable

Thanks, guys. I already have the 96” cable, so sounds like overkill. Will run it tonight (these pesky day jobs...)
  3. TR2/3/3A » Re: OD angle drive engaging the speedo cable

I thought I’d need one with the OD... will try to run it without it, though.
  4. TR2/3/3A » OD angle drive engaging the speedo cable

So I was super careful in fitting the speedo angle drive to the OD, remembering the copper washer. The problem is that the female end of the angle drive is a 1/8” round hole and the speedo cable is...

TR2/3/3A » Clutch slave hydraulic line

Just to verify, is the copper crush washer the sealing means on the clutch slave? Seems odd in a hydraulic system, but the male/female ends definitely don’t mate like the rest of the hydraulic...

TR2/3/3A » Re: Carpet and upholstery installation

+1 on John’s excellent tutorial. Like him, I went with John Skinner. Prices were actually cheaper for what you get from the big three over here, at least last year. I also sprung for the thin...

TR2/3/3A » Re: caged nuts problems

Definite Achilles’ heel. I’m reassembling mine after a complete body-off restoration, and I’ve had to replace two! On the left side, you can pry open one of the cage sides and remove/replace the...

Or, is it not an issue with that rubber piece that encompasses the parking brake?
  10. TR2/3/3A » Re: Fitting the original tr3 transmission cover over a tr6 overdrive

I need to resurrect this thread... is there a definitive answer on how to cope with the right angle drive jutting out past where the transmission cover fits? Looks like this previous thread came up a...

But to be fair to Graham, yes- in the American vernacular, it means to plug something electrical in and see if it goes “poof”.

Thanks all. Body color it is!
  19. TR2/3/3A » Rear fender stays: black or body color?

All, should the rear fender stays be body color or black? I’m making a run to my powder coater on Friday and can include them if needed. The TRA judging guide is silent on color... only a deduction...
