    Re: Call in the lawyers

The value of trees. I wonder how much my black walnut trees are worth. About 45 years old. Or my apple, peach, pears, grapes, etc...? Do I get to keep the nuts and fruit? Fun conversation.

Re: Seat frame alignment with seat back

Three score and two, and retiring this year. I'll never really retire but I will finish the Healey along with a list of other stuff!

Re: Seat frame alignment with seat back

Thanks Rob. In my 20s I was 5'11 & 3/4". Now I'm closer to 5'11'' and shrinking. How tall are you in comparison? I may not need the height reduction but the tilt could be nice.

Re: Seat frame alignment with seat back

I didn't get a pic but we did take a measurement. 1/2" from the top of the frame to the center of the threaded stud that goes through the seat back ears. Does that make sense? Does it answer the...

Re: Seat frame alignment with seat back

I bent the bottom frame tabs up a little. One needs to be welded or brazed, as it's broken loose. I also bent the bottom of the back rest edge down a little to meet the tabs. I'm not fully confident...

Re: Seat frame alignment with seat back

The seat back doesn't hit the tabs at all. I don't think its been modified. I'll take more pictures tonight.

Seat frame alignment with seat back

I am reupholstering my seats. Where is the seat back supposed to sit on the bottom seat frame? I was thinking on the three tabs. It doesn't. Sits on the corners. See attached pic. Neither seat back...

    Re: BJ7 heater blower vibration

Ray, you convinced me. It's coming apart this weekend. It's better to do now than later when the motor bearing wears out prematurely. I'm not exactly getting more physically flexible as time passes...

    Re: German horn on BJ7

Occam's Razor, had to google that one. Understood.

Original or not, I think I'll keep them. It's the sound that goes with the car for my ear. What I heard as a teen into my 20's. 1970s and 80s....

    Re: BJ7 heater blower vibration

I googled how to balance a fan cage. Not much for cars but HVAC had some good stuff. My fan motor is tight so the cage doesn't move easily enough to balance on the bench. I did test it by turning it...

    Re: German horn on BJ7

Vette, that's interesting. I should get a heritage cert for my car. That'll tell if it was exported to Germany, right? Or, how did you know that?

    German horn on BJ7

It's always embarrassing to show pics of the car pre resto. The attached is a pic of an old pic showing the horn that's been on my car since the early 1970s when we purchased the car. Made in...

    Re: BJ7 heater blower vibration

Yes Ray, I installed the original squirrel cage. I had to turn down the motor shaft slightly but it fit. It's not hitting anyplace.

I'll observe it running with these things in mind.

Healey Nut, how are things in the north? I think we have some of your weather this week.

    No balance weights at all.

    BJ7 heater blower vibration

My heater blower does seem to cause some vibration. The one thing different about mine is that I changed out the motor for an AC Delco which runs nicely. Does anyone notice a vibration with the...

    Re: Cigar Lighter

Anderson /Moment restoration guide says that there was a cigar lighter listed as a factory option but not illustrated in the parts book showing where it would be mounted.

My BJ7 came with a liter also. Black knob but mounted in a hole above the heater controls. I think it was installed on this side of the pond I filled the hole and...
