Re: Parting out a 2500M - Should I do it?

Sorry I wasn't more help. I wish you well on getting it sold.

Perhaps you can sell the drive train for some $. Then sell the rest of the car otherwise complete and between the 2 sales get what...

Re: Parting out a 2500M - Should I do it?

I would try to keep it together, it's so much nicer than a parts car. However, I guess it comes down to how much you need to get out of it.

If you installed all the glass, it might bring more...

    Re: possible buy

That appears to be a decent price for a car in good condition. See if the engine is still free after 10 yrs.

To me I'd be most concerned with the condition of the frame. A car can look pretty...

It would make for an interesting article in the TVR Times. You should consider submitting it.

    Re: 2500M on Ebay

Nice car. A lot of in-and-out in the 60K miles to wear the seat like that. If they mended that it would help with the sale and price. I like the color combo.

    Re: TVR 2500M Shop Manual

Sorry, you're right that schematic was no help at all.

My '77 2500M is completely apart right now but I do believe it is a electric tach as Jim mentions.

    I'd follow Jim's advice. I know that...

    Re: Some pics

Marshall, enjoyed reading about your barnfind.

I'm hoping to finish my car by early summer so everything will be well sorted in advance of a trip to Woodwork this fall.

    Re: Some pics

The pics above are from a few months ago. The frame is now red (blue was my primer coat) and the body is off the frame.
There is a shot of the red frame from an earlier thread. If you're wondering...

    Some pics

Things are slow (and very cold here) so I thought I'd post some pics.

I'm installing a 3.4L V6 and T5, sits nice and way back in the bay. Also did the vented rotor, 4 pot caliper swap.

    Cheers,...

    Re: TVR 2500M Shop Manual

    Re: TVR Christmas?

No, but holiday related....I made all the relatives go out to the garage to lift the body off the 2500M during Thanksgiving.

    Re: TOP GLASS

The cut plexi has to be only $30-40. No idea on installation cost. I agree $400 is entirely way to high.

    Re: 2500M hood

I'm working on the same thing...except I still need to fabricate a new hood frame. I'd appreciate any measurements you might be able to share. Below is a pic I came across somewhere (maybe ebay)....
