Re: J-H no longer needs a push!

The car was sitting and we can only guess that some kind of light oil like trans fluid was put in through the spark plug holes in some attempt of rust proofing. The exhaust was welded from the...

    Re: Jensen-Healey Fuel Tank Questions

Both the parts car and the car we are rebuilding have it. It comes from the trunk harness and goes to the bulkhead and accepts a two prong plug from the passenger compartment. So, trunk light is...

    Re: Jensen-Healey Fuel Tank Questions

    Dr. E,
We have managed to swap the wiring harness from one car to the other. We are puzzled by a small 2-prong connector that is behind the seats in the bulkhead high up. Any ideas as to what that...

    Re: Jensen-Healey Fuel Tank Questions

    Dr. E,
Another garage joke about English cars is drive it for one hour and work on it for four!
That was back in the '60's and '70s' when those cars were still relatively new.
    Now-a-days, it is...

    Re: Jensen-Healey Fuel Tank Questions

    |Dr,
Thank you! Since posting my question, we found two other fuel tanks with the pile-o-stuff. One had the pickup and gauge sender which are in good condition. Seeing that for the first time...

    Jensen-Healey Fuel Tank Questions

Hurricane Michael put a big kink in operations here in the Florida Panhandle.
We are finally at a point where work has resumed on the J-H project.
We have three fuel tanks and hope to get one good...
  11. J-H Stromberg carb connections? Where do they go?

    In an effort to get it plumbed correctly, I have taken some photos to suppport my questions;

I know this is a vacuum line.

    56321
And this vacuum goes to the distributor.

  12. J-H rear transmission seal? Why can't I find it on the web?

I need a rear transmission seal for our J-H.
    The dimensions are 2-1/2 x 1-3/8 x 1/2 inches.
I can't find one anywhere on the web.
It is sad that parts are only listed forward.
    For example you...

While waiting for the carb kits, we are going to dose the cylinders with Marvel Mystery Oil. Let is set for a week. Hopefully it will loosen up the rings for less blow by and smoke.

Re: J-H 907 sparks to life!

Because the left and right motor mounts are at different heights we couldn't use the "clubs" engine stand without serious modification.
The blocks of wood were a lame attempt at keeping the motor...

    J-H 907 sparks to life!

Today we got our Jensen-Healey 907 engine started. It really isn't running.
The only way to keep it going was to hand choke the rear Stromberg.
We didn't look at the carbs at all, but now I have...

Re: Valve lash - Is this how it is done?

Valve lash - Is this how it is done?

We are rebuilding a 907 engine for a Jensen-Healey. We are having the valves re-ground.
We are eliminating the paper gaskets under the cam towers and will use the 515 sealant.
    Both of these things...
