RESTORING SMITHS HEATERS AS FITTED TO A 1959 TRIUMPH TR-3A

Triumph offered Smiths heaters as an optional accessory in all side screen TRís. The diagram below shows a schematic of the heating circuit, which is fed from the cylinder head through valve (7) through the heater core, then returning to the water pump through fitting (12). These heaters were fairly trouble free when coolant was changed on a regular basis, and if the cooling system and heater were flushed annually. Most problems involve a plugged core or some type of electrical malfunction. This article will provide a simple step by step procedure for (1) checking the heater for proper function, (2) dismantling the heater for examination of components and (3) refinishing and reassembly.

Does anybody make parts for A-H jacks?

My BJ8 jack is missing the smaller threaded rod with the tang on the top, all else is OK. Does anyone make parts for the Shelley Jacks?

Re: 69 Sprite drum brake adjuster

If you look at the pic you will see that the adjuster (threaded part) works like a wedge pushing the pad further apart.

Check and make sure your drums aren’t rubbing their edges. Rotating slowly with rear brakes adjusted correctly make sure the drum is not rubbing

    Healey restoration

Looking for someone to restore my A-H 3000. I believe there is a well-regarded shop in Paso Robles (or somewhere near there). Can someone give me the name, address, phone number?
