    I had been running an aftermarket muffler for the last year or so, but it didn't have that LBC rumble.
    though I'm sure my neighbors appreciated the old muffler, when Moss put the Tourist Trophy on sale in May,($approx. $260.00) I decided to switch back. (Actually my car came to me equipped with a single glass pack cherry bomb).

    i had Menike muffler shop connect to the exhaust pipe after it went thru the "box". ...

    Converting to ceramic coated headers is a logistical PITA for the most part. It also runs in to some serious money, especially if your having some one else doing the welding & install.

    But, I must say the acceleration performance is improved.
    even starting the engine is much easier.

    i purchased the mid length header from BPNW, for about $400.00.
    took them into a local shop ( that isn't a LBC specialist, but a good conscientious mechanic none-the-Less). ...

    my after market aluminum radiator came with an 18psi cap.
    i didn't realize it but because the radiator could not
    ...

    My unassuming start of the week turned into a $3000+ "all you ever wanted to know about wheels" lesson.
    But, being philosophical about the situation, I am writing it off as the cost of higher education.

    on the bright side ( no pun intended) the new chrome 60 spoke wheels look ...

  5. #43 hub extension splines: good vs. bad & removing that last seized nut



    First, the difference between a "good spline & bad spline is not real obvious, to the naked eye.
    (I used a 3.5x magnifying glass to examine mine)
    a new spline is symmetrical with a rounded conical ...
