Howdy Folks,

I've been on & off the site since my acquisition of a sweet '73 Alfa Spider.

My Alfa got purchased this past weekend & I'm looking for a nice driver TR3.

I really would like to keep The Alfa & buy a TR3 but I have'nt hit the lottery yet!

My " Max" budget is $15k.

"Hi Tom".

Regards, Russ

If you are looking for an easy project, I just saw one on Craigslist, up in MN, for $7500. Runs, but not driven for 20 years (according to the ad), so needs hydraulic work and so on. Body was hit in the rear, looks like it needs a new LR fender. Some rust bubbles that will need repair and probably a respray afterwards. I think you could have a nice driver for comfortably less than your budget.

That blue TR3 scares me, looks like the rear fender seams are filled in...

Quite possible. I just spotted the ad, don't know anything else about the seller or the car.

I thought maybe it was just missing the beading, but maybe the gap is filled as well and the line I think I see is rust peeping through the Bondo or whatever. Then the question would become what is under that Bondo; maybe the body shop just thought it should be filled, or maybe the seam has been welded. Would definitely merit an in-person inspection before purchase!

A pretty solid version here.....and seems priced around your budget! Welcome Back.....did the other ride you had ever get completed?

Best way to end up with a driver is to start with one. That one seems to stretch the definition a bit much. For your budget you will find a very nice one that can be driven home.

Hi All,

I`m not looking for a "Project"! I am looking for a nice, driving TR that may need some TLC. Towards the end of this month; I`m heading North to PA to visit with my Sons & look at 2 TR3s. "Hi Tom".

Relative to my `57 TR3 that was sold to a gent who literallylives around the corner from me; He has`nt done anything further on her. His "Retirement Heaven" date is approx. 1yr away & then the fun begins for him.

Regards, Russ
