View Full Version : Clip - Brake Line to Firewall

Can anyone confirm the part number of the clip (black clip below) that holds the brake line to the firewall? I bought one from one of the big 3 (can't remember which), but it's brass and all square edges, not rounded.

Would it be Moss 589-080? Is there only one of them?

Thanks in advance,

<span style="font-size: 12pt"><span style="color: #003300"> I will not comment on what an aftermarket firm will supply.
I'm not sure which type was there originally...There were IMO two types.
One is a "half" with only the square bottom and the material ending at the end of the top half circle to hold the line in place.
The other type is a full piece, flat on the back side, a full loop to hold the line and the front piece the same shape as the back piece. (similar to the one that holds the choke cable and temperature capillary line in place).
When I rescued my 3 from a scrap yard in 1988, that brake line was held in place by the "half' type.
So, you can fabricate your own from brass stock available, or if you PM me, I'll give you an original of either type.

Your picture looks like what is on my unrestored 59 (TS51339 so a little later than yours). Is that part number 102227 (Clip, pipe to dash - qty 1)? TRF has it listed for $2.22 and shows it as the full loop which Frank describes in the catalog picture here:
