View Full Version : Bizarre Crash

I was in the house this afternoon when I heard a LOUD
crash.Ran out to see that the neighbor's Toyota Tacoma had
been hit really hard.
Seems that a neighbor "kid" (about 27)was going West,
& hit the Tacoma that was parked, facing East. The driver apologized profusly,& then went to find his dog, which had
hit the windshield,& then wandered off.
About 1/2 hour later he shows up,coming from the op-
posite direction, again apologizing, tells us that he "needs-
to go check on my dog".
Another 1/2 hour + - no sign of him.I gave him a little
more time,then called CHP.It's not a hit & run.
Got to looking at my '60 Chevy panel truck that was
parked behind the Tacoma.Seems that he pushed the Tacoma back
about 6 feet, where his trailer ball hit the panel, pushing it
back about 2-3 feet.Put a dent in the bottom center of the front bumper. He was driving an '80's Toyota Forerunner.
I don't have full coverage on the panel truck,& I doubt he has insurance. Now I'm irritated!

sorry to hear - sounds like it was chemically induced - liquid or otherwise (I'm guessing otherwise because of the "gotta find my dog" routine)

You're right!I was caught up in the weirdness,& trusted him.
I now believe that he was "under the influence" of something.
CHP is looking for him,& if he's found he's in a "Heap of-
Whatever happened to "doing the right thing"?

Down here, "gotta see a man about a dog" means going to the bathroom or to buy another drink....

In these parts, it's "gotta see a man about a horse".

Nah, seeing a man about a horse is a time honoured tradition - this is more like pink elephants on parade.
