Got the body back on the frame yesterday :-)

Question about front body mounts. Manual is clear that there should be 1 thick pad, aluminum spacer, and 1 thin pad at position "b" and 1 pad, aluminum spacer, and 1 pad at position "c". I have the pads and spacers that were on the car (they are all new). Are the thin pad at "b" and the "pad" at "c" the same thickness? Everything else is lining up fine, but it seems to be quite a squeeze to get all these spacers added. Not "obvious" to me why the apparent difference in height of these two sets of spacers. Is there a trick to getting all these spacers in place? Am I missing something?

I believe the key is to use spacers "as needed" to get the body "square on the chassis and positioned so that the doors open right, the tranny cover bolts line up, the turtle lid opens and closes right, the front bolts on the inner wings line up, etc. The Triumph body is so flexible that it's kind of amazing what movement in one spot will do to an alignment somewhere else. I "lightly" mounted my tub after aligning it to the holes in the floor pans, then we mounted the doors, the wings, the bonnet, the turtle and the front apron and got them all lined up with good seams, etc. Then I went back and inserted additional spaces where I needed them to keep the body tub where it was after all that alignment work. Don't know if that's what a professional would do, but that's the way we did it.

Mike, I think that they Key is a big hammer. That is my theory anyway.
