I have purchased an aluminum fuel tank for a 1957 triumph tr3 smallmouth. The old tank was rusted.I am looking for a connector and fuel line that comes out of the bottom center of the tank.I only need about a foot of line to tie into rubber fuel line.Does anyone know what size the male connector for the fuel line is and where I might find something to fit this?

Aloha Buddy,

I believe the original fuel line was a two piece pipe running from the tank to the engine compartment where a short length of fuel hose connected to the fuel pump. The pipe has a connection fitting approximately mid way, about under the drivers seat (LHD)where it goes through a hole in the frame. The pipe connection to the tank is a compression fitting and the pipe is 5/16" OD as I recall. I use steel brake line to form short lengths of fuel pipe.

Ya the line is 5/16" and stays that way up to the pump.
