Answered honestly, got a 77 - some of the questions could have gone either way on the answers.

I scored 90% and I was honest. I think driving is what you should do when you drive. Not text, talk on the phone, not rubberneck and 'run' through your day. Just me.

They seemed to knock me down a lot for saying people around me are driving slow. I was being honest. I was on I95 yesterday for 20 minutes. It's marked 70mph, I was doing slightly more on cruise control (72mph). There were dozens of cars that had to be doing 60 or less - many of which were in the left and center lanes. I don't tailgate or cut in and out around those people, but hey - they were going slow!

On the road to the airport the situation was pretty similar. Marked 45 and I was looking at two cars pacing each other at 25mph for no apparent reason. Limit went up to 55 and they were still stable at 25mph holding up traffic.

I want a recount!

Scott:

Here in NJ, it's sort of the opposite.

If the sign says "X MPH" everyone assumes they can really do "X + 20 MPH".

I travel on the New Jersey Turnpike at least once a week. The speed limit is 65 MPH. In a recent trip I was jammed up in a gaggle of cars in the middle lane of heavy traffic. We were all traveling around 80 to 85 MPH. We came upon a NJ State Trooper in the slow lane doing about 70 MPH (behind some trucks). No choice.....the traffic dragged us along and we all just sailed past him.
If he'd wanted to give out speeding tickets, he would have had to give out over 1000 of them on the spot. :jester:

"You scored a 83% (A)! Your driving level is: very safe"
but I have to agree...the questions were sort of dumb. I do A LOT of "downtown" driving where if you don't watch your speeds...you WILL PAY! I will admit driving a 5-speed in downtown traffic with streetcars and taxi cabs makes other activities almost nearly impossible!!

I want to know what schools they went to where 83% is an A and 78% a B? What happened to the 92, 82, 72, 62 grade scale?

Got a 93 when answering as if I'm driving the Impala... Good point. I took the test with my imagining driving the family car. I'm sure I would have scored differently for the Healey and most definitely for the Jag. Seems like when I drive the Jaguar, every car on the road has to be in front of me. Wonder why? - my excuse for agression.

86% Use a Bluetooth hands free phone in town, not on highway or at speed. Other drivers too slow, yeah, especially the Honda, Toyota, Nissan owners when gas gets over $3 and you have to follow them in 4th gear instead of 6th, because they are doing 45mph instead of 55mph cause their precious gas guzzlers get awful mileage at higher RPMs.

93% .... BUT ..... I answered based on my refined driving habits as of late. If I had answered based on my driving habits when I was a 20 yr old I would have gotten an F for sure!
Although I have never been in an accident that was my fault, in my younger days I have had my license removed from my possession multiple times for excessive speed.
Those days are long since gone! These days I am happy to put put along and "smell the coffee"!

Easier to do in an RV where you can brew on the go. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Of course, if you were doing the brewing, I'm sure you'd have gotten lower than 93%.
