I'll be picking up a '74 TR6 and I plan to transport it by a car trailer. I noticed the tire stops on the trailer I'm renting are about 6" high. Therefore in order to rest the front tires against the stops, the front end has to clear 6". Can someone measure this for me? Thank you.

I don't know if I understand. When loading, the front tire is first of all going to jump the stop, and then the back end of the tire will rest against it? Or do you just drive it on, and the front end of the tire touches the stop?

If the car has the front air dam, you'll have to remove it. Otherwise, you should be OK.

i used to work for a rental company and when loading low cars like corvettes and such, we would just put planks of wood under the front tires before we ratcheted it down. That gave the clearance and its not like the car is going to go anywhere cause of the straps. It just holds it up. Just a thought of what you could try /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
