Pretty sure this came out of my car but have no real idea of where it goes, in the over all scheme of things. Could someone clue me in please?

Thanks, Tinkerman

It gets bolted to the firewall (engine compartment side) to hold the upper section of the column.

Looks more like an exhaust system clamp?
Been many years between me and the last TR-bloody-3 I've touched but that'd be my startin' point for findin' matching mount points. Transmission bolts front and rear first, as it's a "hard" mount.

I agree with Art but looking at some pictures of the TR3A ones posted on a reply to one of my many questions:
https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcforum/u...port#Post589926 (https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcforum/ubbthreads.php/topics/589926/TR3_steering_wheel_support#Post589926)
it would seem to be a bit different then the TR3A upper column clamp.

Dear me! I've lived long enough to see Dr. E post an error!

Art is correct. It bolts to the firewall in the engine bay, clamping end pointed up, and clamped around the steering column.
