View Full Version : Pics showing repair to anti-run-on valve.

Finally figured something out. My car had: The vacum
line to nowhere.

This vacum line was earmarked to be attached to the anti
run-on valve at the front of the car.

A previous mechanic evidently broke off a nipple at the
valve that would connect the vacum hose to the valve and
instead of repairing or replacing the part, he taped off
the broken nipple with black tape and put a screw into
the vacum line hose end to block it off leaving it laying

I drilled the hole out on the valve and tapped some
threads in and screwed in a brass nipple and reattached
the hose. Pics follow and I hope this repair works.
Also, the closest hose size to replace the original hose
was a gas line hose, so I used it for convenience.
