If you thought cutting a TR-3 down the middle and widening it 4" to set it on a TR-6 frame was radical... wait til you see this!

It's a GT6, cut and widened <span style="text-decoration: underline">over ten inches</span> (right down the middle) and set on a custom chassis with hot Ford Cologne V6 and Porsche 928 running gear.

Look carefully at that picture. There's a kid's seat in the middle!

Read about the car/project here: https://www.britishv8.org/Triumph/GeraldKannenberg.htm (15 photos!)

Why? Why not!?! It's an awesome example of German engineering and craftsmanship, but with classic British lines (in side-view anyway.) I bet it's great fun for track days! Wider cars pull more g's. Besides, the interior of a GT6 is a little cramped...

Here's another snapshot, with Gerald's daughter perched in her seat.

That's a great color for it too. Kind reminds me of the Cheetah back in the mid 60's for you young ones.

Looks a bit like a 914 from the front. Nice.

Good call. I think the color suggests Porsche 914 too...

I should have used this photo in the original post.
This adorable young lady probably started welding at about four years old... way cool!

Incidentally, you are all cordially invited to enter our 2nd annual British V8 photo contest!
It's just for fun. The details are here: https://www.britishv8.org/Articles/2nd-Photo-Contest-2.htm
There's one rule to pay particular attention to - we have to be able to identify something (anything) that can be called a "performance modification".
