Finally, after much interference from work and weather and lastly the purchase of an MGB, which was supposed to be done, but has in fact required a little sorting to make right, work proceeds on the TR250.

Had rust on the upper edges of the rear valance as they often do, it is now patched on both sides, I don't kid myself about being good enough to do metal work without filler, so try to simply fill along the body line or below and make sure the rust is gone and replaced by good strong metal.

The right rear fender was really bad (pic of old posted below), found a used one in a junkyard that mostly has 70s imports but a little bit of 60s british as well, it was sitting outside in a pile of other suchlike for god knows how many years, but all rust is minor and on the surface, it is not water that causes rust to much as trapped water. It was the only fender they had for a TR4 and the one I needed.

Asked the old gent how much he wanted for the thing, he said $65, which is a lot closer to my restoration budget than the $1100 or so they want for a new one.

Will have to drill holes for the TR250 badges and lights, but I think that will be a little easier than rust repair on the old one

The back top corner was bad enough, also bad along the front edge, which is a complicated repair, because it is multi layered, which is why it rusts!
