Pic of the rear oil seal in place, not installed.
Is the RTV sealant acceptable to install this seal,
keeping in mind advice to use sparingly?

Also, a note on rear oil screws. The one screw at
12:00 o'clock high has an important round brass washer
that must be used at this location, otherwise, oil leaks
will occur. This info is per the Bently Manual.

These screws are laid out in the pattern that they will
be screwed into the oil seal. There are seven in total;
three on the left installed bottom to top; three on the
right installed bottom to top. That leaves the last and
"special" bolt at 12:00 o'clock position that takes the all
important full-round brass washer. Total of seven.

See the respective pics as follows:

This pic shows the three screw holes up the left side
and the top center is the bolt requiring the brass washer.

Oh, I might mention that the first pic in the last
post has my engine hanging upside down; therefore,
the 12:00 o'clock important brass screw would be at
the 6:00 o'clock position. Once the engine is installed,
it will be oriented at 12:00, as described.

And after all that, is it 5:00 o'clock somewhere?
I think a libation of sorts is in order.
