View Full Version : Using a small picture file as a signature

I am trying to use a photo as my signature that I have previously uploaded to the members photos.
In my profile, I put the following into the signature box..
[image]https: *** edited out to protect the guilty ***[image]
That didn't work.
I also tried
https://***edited out ***

That does make a link to the photo but the photo doesn't display inline in the post ? What am I doing wrong ? Is it the dimensions of the picture ? I have the file size down to 32.4kb .

Your pic can be no larger than 100 X 400 Pixels
Then you need an internet photo album such as photobucket or something simular. Upload your pic to the photoalbum . underneath the photo in photobucket you will see image codes such as this .....>>>>https://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u254/AweMan_Photos/image001-1.jpg>>>>
Copy and paste the photocode in the signature block along with the text you want
Note: in the image code I added the >>>>>> so my photo does`nt apear in this message, you will not need these >>>>>
Hope this helps

Or just reply to this thread and use the FULL EDITOR. Then use the File Manager at the bottom of the edit window to upload the image as an attachment to your post...then view the image and right-click your mouse over image to see full URL

Thank you both !!! The " / " in the trailing [/img] does need to be the correct character / and not \ or no picture !
Thanks again Basil.

Now out to the garage and work on the Healey instead of playing with the computer all day on a day off work.
