New tires for the six, the rest goes to the wife.

Nothing.
I'm not getting one unless the Senate bill goes through.

Hush your mouth or she will hear you. For now she is happy with my plan.

It's going right back to pay for someone elses tax rebate.

That's our situation as well. With both of us working and no kids, we get pranged pretty hard come tax time. I'm hoping for a wash -- nothing owed, nothing returned.

What Paul said! But what gripes me the most is we will have to claim it as income next year, GIVE ME A BREAK !
Keep your rebate and LEAVE ME ALONE!

I am still paying off last years
Makes me laugh, they take 1% off the gst and think they have done you a favour and then they quietly reduce your personal income tax deductions by $1000. Don't get me started.

REBATE! Don't get me started....how can you have a "REBATE" if you never had a "BATE"? I've notified my senators that I totally disagree with any plan that "refunds" money to people who never paid in the first place!

If it occurs, I'll put my money in investments!

I wish they'd just CALL it a subsidy and get it over with.

But then the actual taxPAYERS would be inclined to fire th' lot at next election... 'cept th' recipients of th' subsidy outnumber the folk who actually PAY...

Shoot me now, Boss. I'll hold really-really still. I'd hate it if ya just wounded me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I plan to make a down payment on new sewer pipes in my backyard! Turns out the sewage pipe they laid 45 years ago is basically just Orange cardboard and has collapsed under the years of tree roots and dirt. Now I get the joy of having my entire backyard dug up and new pipes laid (NOT covered by home owner's BTW) and I guess my rebate plus my husband's bonus this year will just about cover it. There goes the B's paint, interior and wheels...... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

...Probably buy some cheap Chinese crap at Mall Wart, isnt that what "they" want us to do!?

Is this how "The Magic of the Market Place" is supposed to work? You get a bunch of greedy pigs selling to the gulible, then the excrement hits the fan and we / government have to bail everyone out?

Well I generally get 2K back...
But this year it is only 1K...

Oh-yea...Then the 600 that they so kindly are "gifting" me.
(That still makes me 400 short of what I was expecting)

Think I'll spend it on a couple rear tires & some Turbo Blue.
Then I'll do some early morning burn-outs in front of our state reps house /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

It will be real interesting to view the employment stats
three months AFTER this give away (opps- stimulus package) happens. I wonder how many tens of thousands of new jobs will result from this stimulus?

Anyone taking bets??
