I'm not *quite* done with this, but mostly, so here it is....
~CLICK HERE~ (https://formula-ccm.tripod.com/old-car-pics.html) to see some of my old, scanned motorsports photos (found in some shoe-boxes) from the '60s and '70s. There are snaps taken by others too (with credit). Doug sent me a bunch of west coast shots a while back and I will try to get to those in a while too.
One of things I miss nowadays are all the "specials" we used to see. Here's some samples from the link above:

How'd you get a picture of Doc's car (behind the MGA-

that's not Doc's car... doc's car has a special coating of lawn-furniture cushions, milk-crates full of empty CAB cans, and neatly tied stacks of the Weekly World News as to make it invisible to any BCF members

SOME bits of it are still stickin' out to see. And those stacks of the Weekly World News will be ~valuable~ some day! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Nial,
GREAT pictures!I just hope that the Torino that
you rode around the track in was one o' them there GT models.
That what a friend of ours said about all of my old
cars - "Some day they'll be worth something",to which I
replied - "Oh no they won't".
I guess if the scrap market goes up that they'll
increase in value.

Just read the whole thing on your "click here" link, and now I'm sure I know your friend sitting on the back of your Spridget! Can you come up with a name? Your comments on the "band scene", nearby Freehold etc. and Springsteen (pre-fame)leads me to believe we must have crossed paths back in the day. Did you ever hang out in the Red Bank/Asbury/Brookdale CC area much back then? Shadow Lake?

Mike:
You mean the guy sitting on the Bugeye? (second picture down).
That's Dave Fuch, from Jackson High School (NJ), Class of '69 (I think).
I'll send you a PM on what I know about him....check your mail in a while.

Great photo page! The image quality leaves something to be desired in most cases /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif But the great memories are evident throughout...
My favourite line from the commentary? The one about Roger Penske asking you to get a beer for Mark Donohue, like that would even be allowed anymore...

AT first, I didn't know what you wre talking about...then I went back and scanned through the photos.
I guess you meant ~THIS~ (https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v170/aeronca65t/old_car_pics/auto-x-baker-tr3-b.jpg) picture.
Yep! Looks like the FIAT gang with a TR3 thrown in! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif Thanks for the memories. Lived in New England at the time and got to go to Limerock once and never did get it out of my mind. I secretly lusted to be a 'racecar driver.' Unheard of really for a woman to have such a wish. Most of this era was just a blur to me - working, trying to keep a drunk ex-husband sober, during the week at least and caring for a house and child. Making up for this now though! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif
