View Full Version : B to D and E to I?

I've noticed that the early TR6's are sometimes referred to as B to D and the later ones as E to I. I've seen this on several parts websites. For example, Richard Good lists exhaust valves this way. Now I'm pretty sure this refers to the early cars with the narrow port head vs. the later cars but why the letters B to D and E to I? Where does this designation come from? Just curious.
