Hello all, Im having some clutch issues. I just realized that the pivot pin was sticking out the top of the bell housing too far. I pulled it out, stuck a screwdriver through it to allign it and tapped the pin back in. This time it went all the way in but out the bottom came a sleave of some sort. Is this an important item and is there an easy way to put it back without pulling the trans? "HELP" "SpitNewbie"

- You're lucky you still have the pin. Mine had dropped out completely and the clutch fork was pivoting against the bell housing...**** of a judder when you went to take up the drive. I think this is a fairly common fault.

see here...you've probably pushed out the "tolerance sleeve"

If I remember correctly it is a corrugated sleeve and the pin is a compression fit inside it...I'm sure it helps keep the pin in place and ensures the pin is not a loose fit in the fork.
