Of course there are about a hundred sites for cobras and cobra like cars but I'm looking for a group interested in the older cars--and find NOTHING other than the club which doesn't show anything!

For a car like yours I would reccomend joining a British-based AC club where a 2-Litre model, either saloon or drophead, would be somewhat more commonly found. In the back of every Practical Classics there is a good list of car clubs over there.

My friend back in Ontario, owner of a 1956 Jensen 541, belongs to a British-based Jensen club as well as a North American-based British club. He actually belonged once to a North American Jensen club but it was of almost no use to him as there were few if any 541's in it. I know many within the British Saloon Car Club do this kind of thing, as some of their cars are not very common over here but much more so in England. And clubs catering to the more unusual British cars are usually open to members from anywhere in the world and very welcoming.
