View Full Version : Dual Weber Carbs

A friend is having trouble adjusting his Weber Carbs. He says that turning the air/fuel mixture screw on one side does absolutely nothing, whereas the other side responds.

After he gets the air/mixture correct, he'll syncronize them, but can't seem to get that far.

I know SUs pretty well. But nothing about Webers.

Can anyone help on this? Thanks

sound to me like maybe one of the seal in the air mixture screw is bad. i dont want to here this becuase i have a set of 38 dcoe i Picked up a Carlisle that going on the Midget this weekend. and i have had VW with duals and hated them.

I never had any problems with my dgv's once I re-jetted them.

If we're talking DCOE's that sounds like the ~classic~ bent spindle symptom. With a UniSyn or similar device, check/balance air draw between the two, and between the two throats of the individual units. If one side of one carb draws more than its twin, you've found a shaft that has likely been tweaked too hard. The other cause can be a bad shaft bearing seal.
