I wasn't sure whether to post this in Other Cars or Free For All. Had a call earlier on from my dad, who is looking for a particular engine on behalf oial of a friend.

Now, I that several of you are very good at this sort of thing, so let's see if we can track it down!

Back in 1933, Meadows in Wolverhampton made three engines for Invicta that were intended for a racing team, but it never came to fruition. They were twin overhead cam engines, rare for the time, and apparently they found their way into the posession of the late Harry Ellard.

They were not, however, included in the auction of his collection after he died, so they must have ended up somewhere in the intervening years.

Anyone heard anything about these, or got any leads that may be worth following? I love detective work!

Why don't you take a flyer and try contacting these people Cedar Classics (https://www.cedarclassiccars.com/). They seem to specialise in the Meadows engine and may be able to answer your questions.

P.S. Is your trip to good old blighty still on?

Good tip, thanks Steve. Yes, trip to the UK is a go, however the hotel has been moved to the city centre.

Interesting......when I mentioned Cedar Classics the reaction was that he didn't want them to know what he was looking for. Apparently he has a chassis, and he is looking to find one of the engines that were intended for it.
