Twas about 60F here today. So I took my bike and the TR to the park. The bike is a cheap folding thing I bought on the internet. I built the bike rack in my shop. I'll go ahead a say what you're thinking; "you now have reliable transportation".

I wonder if I could fit a Spridget in the back of my LR Discovery? Probably still put a folding bike in the boot of the Spridget...maybe a Japanese bike...just to be on the safe side.

I think I have the solution to Crypty's flaws.

1. NASCAR fireproof driving suit and helmut.

2. Marine engine compartment fire extinguisher system.

3. Gasoline powered roller skates in the trunk
for when Crypty breaks down.

4. I buy Wendy a flatbed trailer for Mother's day.

A plan coming together!

In 1998, I toured around England for a month. I stopped in at quite a few local Triumph group meetings where "we're only here for the beer" is the main topic for the evening. One evening at a pub where the North London Group was meeting, there was a very nice TR5 with a bike rack on the boot (trunk) lid and a very nice racing bike on the rack. I noted that the owner hadn't chained or locked the bike, but his TR5 was not going to be stolen. He had changed the original steering wheel for a more modern design where he could use a key, remove the steering wheel and he had taken the steering wheel into the pub with him. I thought this was a pretty good way to make sure your Triumph will still be there when you come out.

I was searching the web for an automatic
fire extinguishing system for Ctypty.

I found a unit in the UK that looks promising.
I would need to permanantly remove the passenger's seat.

I think the gasoline powered roller skates, NASCAR flame
proof driving suit, Wendy with a flatbed PLUS this fire
extinguisher system, I might Crypty more than five miles
from home..................

And live to tell the tale!! Plan coming together.

Dale, I was watching a show about racing airplanes a of couple days ago. They had some system that used a small amount of an environmentally safe chemical that actually changed the chemical makeup of the flames and extinguished the fire instantly.

That was the good news....

That bad news is that it costs about $35,000.
